Thanksgiving 2009

Parker's first Thanksgiving was pretty yucky. He went to the doctor on Wednesday for a cough. Thanksgiving we went ahead and went out since he was fever free and seemed to feel good. At my mom's house he acted pretty good minus not eating a single thing. Later that afternoon we went to Scott's mom's house and was pretty cranky and still not eating. My mom went ahead and kept him on Thanksgiving night like we had planned. Scott and I were up at 4 am to go shopping but by the time we got home on Friday Parker was not feeling well. He had started running a fever. It all went downhill from there.
Saturday we were suppose to go see my dad for Thanksgiving but instead we were sitting in the Emergency room with a fever of 104. They checked him out and all they found was a small infection in his right ear. We went home with some new antibiotics and strict orders to keep the tylenol and motrin flowing every three hours until we were fever free for 24 hours.
Parker knocked out in Daddy's lap. Anybody that knows my little man knows he does not fall asleep like this. We are hoping the new antibiotic kicks in and The Parker Man is back to his old self sooner than later.

First Haircut at 14 and 1/2 months

The Before
During
After

Parker was so good during his first hair cut. Christie had him set in my lap and he did great. A little squirmy but that was it. He didn't cry buy Mommy teared up a couple of times. It was so sad to watch those baby curls go away; but I have them in an envelope. I think Scott and I said "He looks so big" about 800 time for the first few hours after his hair cut.

Fun at the Park

Loves to slide!
Climbing up and down the big steps!
Umm... not feeding the bread to the ducks.
Swinging with Mommy.
Eating a cookie and maybe a bite or two of mulch.

Feels like Spring

Hard to believe it is almost Thanksgiving and we were outside playing. Parker loved getting to play with his trucks outside in the driveway.

Very excited to explore the yard!

Pictures by Priscilla Baierlein

Go to www.priscillabphotography.com to check out more pictures by Cilla. We have used her for maternity, newborn, 6 months and now 1 year! We are always happy with her work.

One Year pictures by Cilla...

Click on the above link to go watch the slideshow of Cilla's pictures. This is our 4th time having her take our pictures and we are still amazed at her ability to capture Parker's personality. We love them all. The best part is we did a mini session so we get a CD with all the pictures on them and a 5X7 of each one.

Leave me a comment if the link does not work and I can post directions on how to get to the gallery.

Libby

We gave in and brought home one of my mom's kittens. She is a very sweet kitty and has fit in right away. She even sleeps on the recliner with the dogs at night. She loves Parker and at night once Parker goes to bed she squalls outside his door like she wants him to come out. I kept calling her Little Britches while she didn't have a name and Scott suggested we call her Libby for short.

All together for the first time....

For the first time ever; all 6 of Nana's grandkids. Parker, Katelyn (7 months), Jackson (8), Max (5), Macey (6) and Mia (almost 2). Scott and I were having our date day so we didn't get to enjoy the whole crew being together. I am sure it was lots of fun and very loud : )

Parker Update

Parker is 14 months old today! Well into the toddler mode. He is walking all over the place and ready to RUN. His favorite thing to go after is the cat; he loves his "kitty" more than anything. As you can tell in his naked picture at the bottom.
We have been having lots of diaper rash issues so we let him run around at night without a diaper on to dry everything out.
Parker's new word is "cheese". I feed him lots of string cheese for an easy snack and as soon as he sees it he says "cheese". He is repeating everything that comes out of our mouths and sometimes it sounds close to what we are saying. I think he is going to call his blanket "key".

Community Arts Center Pictures

The local Community Arts Center has "Where the Wild Things Are" pictures for $5. We took Parker since his costume went with the theme so well.
