Trip to the Big Pool

I didn't get a pool membership this year because I wasn't sure how Parker would like the big pool. He LOVES water but does not do so good when the water is cold and the Harrodsburg pool is always chilly. Yesterday I took him and he had a pretty good time. He didn't want to sit in the water or crawl around he wanted me to let him hold onto his fingers and let him "walk". He would walk until his mouth was in the water and the walk to the other side! I hope we can make it back one more time before the summer is over.
If they only knew how much time me and Stacy spent at the pool while we were pregnant. Most weeks we were there two days a week!

New favorites:
Pointing and jabbering! Parker loves to point at stuff (especially things on the wall) and make this really loud /duh/ sound.
Attacking the cat. I swear he said cat the other day : )
Walking by holding onto my fingers
Playing the stand up game! I am trying to teach him to stand on his own but he laughs the whole time because he thinks it is funny when he falls down.
Pushing cars/trucks/remotes/junk mail across the floor
BATH TIME is his all time favorite
Sleeping in until 8:30 right before Mommy has to go back to work : (
Playing patty cake and "Where's Parker?"(aka peek-a-boo)

Mommy's Night Out

While Mommy was at the Kid Rock concert with lots of friends Parker spent the night with Grammie. Thanks Grammie for offering to help out so I could have some away time!

Guadies Boys!

"Hey Seamus! Do your parents love Guadies too?"

Looks like Tami loves Guadies too!

Finally the refried beans are here : )

I guess eating Guadies for almost all meals during pregnancy accounts for two little boys that love mexican food!

Peek a Boo

Parker started playing Peek a Boo last night (7/20/09) while we were driving home from Lexington. He has always enjoyed playing peek a boo but last night he instigated the whole process. He would pick up his little blanket and hold it up in front of his face and the pull it down! Too cute!
Another game he plays is when we come to pick up in the crib he flops down to the mattress and crawls to the back corner and "hides" from us! He thinks it is hilarious! I am going to try to catch that on video.
It is going to be so hard to leave behind this little guy when school starts back. He is so much fun right now!

Doctor's Visit

I thought Parker was having some trouble with his ears so I took him to the doctor to make sure everything was okay. Well everything checked out but our little guy has lost some weight since he went mobile!
Weighed 18 lbs and 7 ozs (down almost 1 1/2 pounds since may. Puts him in the 35th percentile

Measured 29 inches (over an inch longer since May) Off the charts for height.

Doctor said he was healthy just to feed him plenty! I swear I don't think I could feed this child anymore food. He eats five 6 oz. bottles a day PLUS in between each bottle he gets; cereal in the morning, fruit at lunch, yogurt in the afternoon and a veggie at dinner. On top of that when we are eating he gets some table food and finger foods. I guess all the cruising and crawling is working it off!

Fishin', 5Ks, Motorcycles & Car Watchin'

I found a fishing hat at a yard sale and I knew Grampy would love it!
Parker getting ready for his first 5K with mommy! We finished in 37 min. 18 sec. which is pretty good. I thought I would loose time with him but I didn't.
On Sunday Granddad came by to see Parker and dad finally got to get a picture with him on the motorcycle.
"Hey Granddad! You see those cars going by?"
Still watching cars with Daddy.

10 months old

Wow! 10 months old. I have loved being off this summer and enjoying this time with Parker. He learns something new everyday. I love watching him pull up and cruise. I can see him thinking about letting ago but he isn't ready to take that first solo moment yet. He LOVES anything with wheels. I might as well put away any toy that doesn't have wheels. He loves to get on his belly and push things across the floor. When he is sitting around he will pick up toys with wheels and roll it with his fingers. It is like he is figuring out how it works.

How come in iPhoto this photo was up and down and on here it is on its side?

This picture says so much! He makes the scrunchy nose ALL the time. And he talks with his hands just like his mom. Whenever he is talking to us or talking about something he gets that finger out and points away. His babysitter says it is because I am always pointing!
Since we don't go back to the doctor until 12 months. We did a little height/weight check and he was 28 inches and 19 pounds.

Thanks to everyone that checks the blog so often. I have loved documenting Parker's first year on here. Even though I am already working on his first year book on Shutterfly I was very excited to see that "The Cutest Blog on the Block" now has an application that turns your blog into a book. All you bloggers should check it out. You just select a cover, the dates you want printed and whether or not you want comments printed and it puts your blog into book format! I have a link to the cutest blog in the top left corner.

4th of July

Cookout #1 at Harry and Sherry's house. Parker enjoyed all the kids, the pool and most of all the ice cream!
We also had  a cook out with our whole crew at our babysitter's house but my hands were full with lots of kiddos the whole time so there are not pictures from that cookout.
Just a cute picture of Parker eating his bottle!
