Doctor's Appointment

I had a doctor's appointment today and everything went fine. They listened to the heartbeat and it was 164 beats per minute (maybe it is a girl after all) Other than nothing to report. I did find out I need to go back in a week for some optional testing that allows you to find out if the baby has Down Syndrome. I want to get it done but I have to go during the day and I don't want to use anymore sick days so I am going to call and see if it can wait until Spring Break.
I will see the doctor again in 4 weeks and I will have another ultrasound in 8 weeks. If we decide to find out the sex of the baby we should be able to find out at that next ultrasound, around the end of April.
Other than that everything is great! I went shopping today for some pants at Motherhood. I am sick of being in tight pants so now I have 5 pairs of pants to wear to work. All but one are in uniform colors so I did pretty good. I also bought some shirts at New York and Company that are empire waisted so hopefully they will last me until Spring.

I finally gave in....

After everyone asking I have posted a belly picture. You can see I was really happy about taking it. But there it is. I am even in maternity pants. I can still wear my jeans and a couple pair of work pants with the tummy sleeve. But I received the official word from my principal that I can buy non-uniform so this weekend when I am in Lexington I am going to stop by Motherhood for a couple more pairs of pants. I have a doctor's appointment Friday but I doubt I will have anything to share since I was just there 2 weeks ago.

New Bedding Find

I have found another new bedding I like! It is very neutral but I love the material it is made of. They call it Minky I think. It is the bumpy soft stuff with the silky edge. Again a little more pricey than I would like but it has been hard to find bedding I am willing to use since we aren't going to find out the gender.

However, it is really tempting to know that in like 8 weeks it could be possible to know the gender but NO Scott and I are going to wait 20 more weeks. Oh well, the surprise of it in the end will be worth it.

Getting Together with Old Friends

Non-pregnancy update. This weeked was a personal shower for my childhood friend Lynnette. It was great to see old friends. There is a group of that only gets together a couple times of year but we have all known each other all through school and it so awesome to see old friends. When we get together we have a great time even though we know it may be months before we see each other again. Its like we don't miss a beat. However, we are going to be seeing a lot of each other.
Lynnette is getting married March 8th. Then in May Katy and Avanda are getting married back to back weekends. So with the weddings plus the showers we will see each other more in a couple of months than what we usually do in a year.
Everyone did convice to post my baby bump on her. That swore it doesn't look like fat. So the next time I am showered and don't have on pajamas I will take a new picture for all to see. Anyone else out there want to admit to gaining 9 or more in the first trimester??? I am really sick of talking to people that gain about 15 total in their pregnancy!

Ultrasound at 10 weeks

Here is the newest peanut picture and it looks like a baby! It was even waving with it's little tiny arm.

10 weeks

So I went to the doctor today because I was having some crazy sharp pains in my side, back and leg last night. I am talking my leg was numb the pain was so bad and I had to sleep on the floor because to lay in the bed was like laying on a bed of needles.
The last time I was the the doctor I had a 4 cm. cyst on my ovary and I thought maybe it was rupturing. I also knew it could be typical streching and what not. I called the Doctor Monday after work and Dr. Onan was like you should come in just in case. I was really hoping for a "You are okay, see you on the 22nd" But I had to use a much valued sick day and go up to the doctor. However, it was worth it to get an up to date ultrasound picture and hear a faster heartbeat (143).
The doctor said my cyst had shrunk (2 cm.) and that all the pain was probably a combination of the cyst and streching. But with the miscarriage last time she just felt better seeing me. Well at least she didn't make me feel like the crazy over reactive pregnant person I was feeling like.
I was able to push my next appointment back a week until the 29th! Yea! I have a wedding on the night of the 22nd and did not want to be rushed.
I did get some shopping done while I was in Lexington. I bought a dress that shows off my new pregnancy boobs!
I promise to post the new ultrasound picture and a belly picture soon. Maybe even tonight if I get really motivated.

Greatest Invention Ever

So I have been complaining about my pants not fitting at work and one of the girls I work with said "I have one of those Bella Band things" Well let me just tell you it is awesome! I have only put on a few pounds (about 5-8) but my pants do not fit becuase the weight it all right where my pants button. The rubber band trick was not cutting it.

Well Marci brought me one of her "sleeves" to wear and I have only had it on like an hour but I LOVE it! I can unbutton and unzip my pants and it just looks like I have on a cami under my shirt. I am going to go out and get some of my own so I will have them for my entire pregnancy! I will get Scott to take a picture of my small pooch and post soon.
