A Boy's Best Friend

Parker is such a lucky boy he won't have to ask for a puppy for Christmas. He already has a doggy that loves him : )

Stylin'

So when you see mommy out looking a little out of fashion you will know why! All extra money is being spent on a stylish wardrobe for Parker. Not really but I am a sucker for buying cute outfits. I have tried to only buy one or two per size because he is still growing so quick. But I just love dressing him up in outfits!

After 6 weeks of SCREAMING during a bath Mr. Parker has decided he just might like his bath time after all. Do you think he needs another rubber duck? We really don't put all these in for every bath just for the picture.

Update

Sorry this update doesn't include any cute pictures! Parker is doing great. He is actually starting to sleep a little more at night (3-5 hours) at a time through out the night. We even have some what of a routine down. I know it will change with in a few day but for now I can half way predict what the day is going to be like. We switched to a gentle ease formula and it is helping with the constipation (woo hoo).

Parker has had two overnight stays at Grammie and Grampy's. One was this past Saturday and Scott and I had a date night. We went to Chilis to eat and had a great time just sitting and talking. I am so lucky to have parents that will keep him when he is so young. I want him to get use to spending the night there and it is good for Scott and I to have that time together. Parker went to church for the first time on Sunday with my parents and us.

That pretty much sums up the highlights of the past couple of weeks. Thanks to everyone who checks in so often. I appreciate all the sweet comments about Parker's newborn picture. I agree they are awesome and have FINALLY narrowed down my purchase.

This is pretty neat...

I think he likes it! Parker is really starting to look around and focus so I decided to get out his blanket from Grammie and offer him some toys. He was pretty into it for about 15 minutes. Before long he will be kicking it and pulling on it! We also did some tummy time but he doesn't enjoy that as much. I try to do tummy time at least once a day to strengthen his neck.

How are the dogs doing?

Everyone ask how the dogs are doing. Well I think this shows not much as changed. They still think they are special and fight for out attention. Milly has done really well with everything. I was worried she would be destructive if she didn't get enough attention but so far so good. We both make an effort for one of us to play with them every night. They will come over every now and then and sniff Parker or lick his feet but for the most part the just ignore him.

Keeneland

Last Saturday Scott and I made a huge venture. We went to Keenland! We tailgated with some friends for a while and even went in and watched 5 races. Parker did so good. He slept most of the time. It is so nice to be and out about doing things we like to do with our baby boy.

It Actually Works

Everyone says to do it but it just sounds a little silly! Well after 5 hours of crankiness I thought "What the heck it might just do the trick" Sure enough he was out in about 5 minutes and I ate supper in silence! It was wonderful. Next time it is straight to the dryer.

Too Cute

Yesterday Parker sucked his thumb while I was holding him. It was so stinking cute! I had to take a picture and send it to Scott right away. I even showed it off to my friends at dinner last night. Such a proud mama!

Going to the Park

Parker had his first trip to the park. The first time was for a walk with Grammy and Grampy. The other day we went back with Stacy and Angie and all the kiddos! Parker got to meet Abby, Mallory, Madison and Sophie! Those are the girls he will spend some time with while at the babysitter.
Surprise! We met cousins at the park! Here is Parker with Hensley, Hayes and Sarah Beth.
I like my stroller! I slept the whole time except to poop and eat. What if the rest of the afternoon had been that pleasant.

Guess who else was there?!?! Parker's buddy Seamus. He slept the whole time too. We are hoping for many more days at the park with all our friends. I bet Tami doesn't head to the park with that crew solo anytime soon.

Doctor's Visit

We went to the doctor today for our 1 month check up and Parker is a growing boy. He weighed 10 lbs and 6 ozs and measured 22 inches long. They grow so quick! He doesn't even look like the same little boy I brought home from the hospital. We don't go back until November 3rd. They are going to do shots that day : ( Maybe I will have Daddy go instead.
