Busted Lip

Last week Parker was sick with a sinus infection. The first day I stayed home with him but the second day he went to stay with his Nana. They must have been having some serious fun because he came home with a busted lip and a bloody nose. He is in the walking/running stage when his feet get ahead of him. He has been taking lots of face plants to the ground. This time there happened to be a table in front of him. You can sort of see it in this picture. I am glad someone else was there for that first.

Home with Mom

Parker got to spend St. Patrick's Day with Mom at home. We have been having some issues with a runny nose, cough and low grade fever but last night Parker's temperature was much higher and he had a really hard time sleeping. Since Daddy stayed home the last time it was Mommy's turn. All in all it was a pretty good day. The doctor's office was rough. Parker threw a couple good fits. The kind where he arches his back, hits and throws his head back while screaming. I paid at the counter with Parker laying on the floor screaming and hitting his forehead on the floor. I felt like Mom of the year!
But we came home with new medicine and Parker took a TWO hour nap which is rare. After that we ventured back out to pick up one of the prescriptions and deliver some cupcakes. Great Granddaddy turned 83 todays so Parker picked out some cupcakes to surprise him with. We made sure to get Parker a chocolate cupcake.
In the picture Parker is eating a couple waffles and watching Chuggington (the new favorite Disney show). Nothing like waffles at 4:00 in the afternoon. I was just glad he was eating something!

Dinner Entertainment

Scott and I went to Lexington to do some shopping on Saturday. The "Plan" was to shop then drive around and check out my half marathon course. During this drive we were hoping Parker would take a nap so we could enjoy a nice meal in Lexington since we so rarely go anywhere other than Guadies. But Parker being Parker that did NOT happen. He did not fall asleep for even a second. But we decided to risk it and go on out to eat. We picked Fridays because we knew it would be loud and we were early enough that we beat the wait. Well we survived but there was lots of entertaining. The best part was Parker fed Daddy the green bean appetizer. He loved dipping and giving Daddy a bite. Guess my little guy is really growing up. He went strong all day on a one hour nap only.

Shoes

Parker loves trying on shoes! He loves his shoes but he really like our shoes. He figured out how to walk in Mommy's heels and was cracking himself up.

This time he was loving Daddy's shoes. He has a harder time walking in them.

Yum! Beaters!

Parker's first time licking the beaters. I was making a peanut butter pie and he was loving the filling.

Enduring the Wait

We had to WAIT at Guadalajara the other night which is rare. I was very worried about how Parker would handle what turned into an hour wait. But have no fear the iPhone was there. Scott found some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse online and Parker sat very patiently the whole time. It was so cute to see all the kiddos on their iPhones. It is hard to imagine what technology will look like for them.

Another Snow Day

Have a milk cup and watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Making it snow inside with some Kleenex. It bought us a few moments of entertainment.

Spaghetti for dinner! However, I do not think any of it made it in his mouth : ) It took about 9 paper towels and the dirt devil to clean up after this meal. And since Scott is still out of town I quickly regretted spaghetti and practicing with the spoon.

Sugar Cooke cupcake for dessert. I was a little disappointed in this one. I was super excited to try it but it was too dry for me. Parker on the other hand actually liked this one.

I have enjoyed all the extra time with Parker this winter but NO more Snow Days please. This was number seven.

Second Haircut

I finally broke down and cut Parker's hair again. I was wanting to let it again a little long again but it was looking pretty rough. He is finally starting to wear 12-18 month clothes. I think he is going to get "big" on me. He is talking up a storm! Repeating lots of stuff and using lots of jibberish that we do not understand. Eating is our biggest battle right now. Basically he lives off of fluids, goldfish, waffles and peanut butter crackers.

Mommy's Half-Marathon

Playing in the snow at Grammie and Grampy's house.

Watching Nascar with Oreo and Rascal.

Due to some CRAZY flight changes Parker picked Mommy up at the airport in Lexington!

Chilling with Mommy on the couch : )
