MY Boy!

I love when Parker comes to my races! Parker was waiting on the course for me and at the finish line. I always think about him as I am finishing. As much as I run for my own health and sanity I also run for Parker. I run to set a good example of making goals, living healthy, finishing what you start and being determined about something in life. Anytime Parker is at a race to support me I tear up as I come towards the finish and see him. My fastest two 5Ks have been races that Parker has been at. I love hearing "Go Mommy"and "Mommy running". He has started to run like Mommy and it melts my heart! I look forward to the day that I am on the sidelines cheering him on in whatever sport/activity/club HE chooses to join.

Pickles, Brownie Batter and Meltdowns

Parker loves saying "pickle"! It is the cutest thing ever when he says it. He always asks for a pickle when Scott and I eat them and we eat them with almost every meal. So after many times of trying them Parker has decided he likes to eat pickles too : )

Parker enjoys brownie batter like his Mommy : ) I made brownies just so I could eat the batter. I left the actual brownies for my house sitter!

Even cute when he is melting down. Eye teeth are cutting in with a vengeance and Parker has been getting cranky late afternoon. This meltdown was over "more go-go". For the most part meltdowns are short and sweet but Parker is starting to have more of an opinion! I will still miss him next week when it is back to work every day : (

Bye-Bye Pool

Parker will be so sad to not go to the pool anymore! We have gone quite a bit this summer. He loves his "babby" pool! We are hoping for a few more days before it is closed for the summer. Good thing Mommy, Daddy, Grammie and Grampy are taking him to Great Wolfe Lodge for his birthday!

Playdate

Playing blocks with Mary (Casey's daughter).
Parker and Abigail (Lynnette's daughter) were big buddies! They played so good together and loved to jump in Parker's bed.

Parker thought about sharing his trucks but there was usually crying involved!

The whole crew!

Another one of pretty Mary : )

Zachary 10 weeks (Beth), McKenzy 5 months (Katy), Colton 11 weeks (Avanda)

Getting Big!

Parker and his buddy Seamus.

Parker watching a movie! Monsters Inc. is the only thing that gets his attention for this long. Usually he keeps playing or walking about but Monsters Inc. sucks him in : ) It a nice go to when Mommy needs to get something done without Parker underfoot.

Reading THE book. I checked out "The Big Book of Things that Go" and he loved it so much I bought him a copy. It is a little annoying how much he wants to read it but I love that he is learning so many words and phrases by reading it.

Here Ree Ree

I wish Parker could talk! I changed Parkers pajamas and diaper, walked to the kitchen to make a milk cup and Rancher came in with Parker's PJs on his head. How did this happen and why??? I can just hear Parker saying, "Here Ree Ree" : ) Parker loves his Ree Ree and Mill (Rancher and Milly)

Parker Update

I think the picture speaks for itself!
Parker is full of himself. He is talking up a storm. He is well over 100 words, probably closer to 150. He used 2-3 word sentences all the time and will spit out 5 or 6 words here and there. He big phrase right now is "______ over there". Horse, cow, water, truck etc.... He asks "whats that" a lot and has started commenting on things going on around him. Scott was sweaty the other day and he said "You hot?" It is amazing how much they understand at such a young age.
He still loves to pack around his cars and trucks.
He loves looking at books about animals and saying there names and making their sounds.
Eating is still issue. He will not try anything new and he goes days where he eats a few snacks and drinks a couple of cups.
The past month he has started talking about "pee" a lot. He likes to go the bathroom with us and asks to sit on the potty. He even tells us after he pees. We have bought a potty but are not really working on potty training just keeping the discussion going : )
He loves his Mill and Ree-Ree (Rancher) and has to know where Kitty (Libby) and Zoey are at all times.
Most of all he loves going outside, to the water and to see his "GingGing" (Grammie/Grampy).

Scott and I can not stop talking about how big he is getting! The past month has been crazy. He is a couple of inches taller and he acts more like a big boy everyday.

Toddler Bed

Parker has moved to a toddler bed! The first night.... no problems! Next night.. no problems. Then we had a day with a nap home.... no problems! Last night.... no problems. I am in SHOCK! My child FIGHTS sleep. He does not like to go to bed. But this summer he has been nice and worn out a lot so he has been more willing to take his naps and is zonked at bedtime. So we decided now would be a good time to try it. We just lay him down, give him his blankets and stuffed toy of choice and turn on music and he is OUT. He lays there and talks but has not tried to get out of bed yet. I know it will happen at some time but I think the battle is part of the way over : )
